I am a documentary and portrait photographer based in East London.
Having studied as a musician, somewhere along the line I fell under the spell of analogue photography, addicted to the possibility of capturing moments and painting them with light.
I exclusively shoot in black and white - on both 135 and 120mm film. This gives my work continuity, consistency and makes my subject the primary focus of attention. I process and edit my film to retain creative control. Inspired by form, perspective and the intricacies of everyday life, I attempt to collaboratively incorporate artistic concepts and social documentary in my work.
I love to work with creative people from all walks of life and deem it an honour that they allow me to capture them and express their stories.
The beauty of analogue photography is its capacity to capture the emotional depth of a moment in the most honest way. And it's within this mantra, I find my passion for photography.
